Pre-Installation Update!

The application is now closed.

The accepted artists have been contacted.

Now what?

We are currently waiting for City Council to approve the selections and locations so we can confirm these locations with the artists.  City Council will make a ruling on this during their May 21st meeting and then I can start sending out contracts.

Installation will be arranged with each artist individually based on their availability.  Our new target date for this to be completed is August 8th, to coincide with the Brighton Art Festival.

Brighton visitors and residents can start looking for the new Biennial Sculpture Exhibit to start springing up in early June.  See you then!

Bob by Chido Johnson
“Bob” was a part of the 1st Brighton Biennial Sculpture Exhibit.  The citizens of Brighton were so charmed by his goofy smile that Mayor Kate Lawrence, residents Eugene Juergens, Bob Herbst and Piet Lindhout and the Principal Shopping District teamed up to pay the $4800 bounty on Bob’s head (haha).  They generously donated Bob to their beloved city for all to enjoy.  He is now a permanent resident!
You can visit him at the corner of Main St & Grand River Ave - right in front of CVS.
